KANJI, OTR

Kanji is a Korean Cuisine and Sushi restaurant located in the Over-the-Rhine district of Cincinnati. The restaurant resides in a vibrant, pedestrian center of the city on the first floor a historic building.

 

Balancing the character of this significant structure with the bold flavors and colors of Korean cuisine alongside the vivid pulse of neighboring Findlay Market became our biggest design challenge.

 

Through close work with contractors, clients and historic interests Open Architecture was able to create a space that responds to its context while respecting its past.
